Dennis and Katie Doolen are partners in work and life. They’ve always wanted to own a business together that they could pass on to their children. Running a JDog Junk Removal and Hauling franchise in Humble, TX not only checked that box, but it also gives them the opportunity to serve their Harris County community and carry on the Military values of Respect, Integrity, and Trust.

Dennis is no stranger to service. For 20 years, he served as a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy while he and Katie started a family and traveled. Even though they saw the world, Texas had long been considered home. After retiring in 2008, Dennis and Katie moved to Humble to be near family.

Dennis continued working in healthcare administration but wanted something to satisfy his entrepreneurial spirit. He decided to start a business as an independent consultant; however, this required more time working away from home. Dennis and Katie looked for other opportunities in the Houston metropolitan area, and that’s when they found JDog. Not only do they get to work together, provide for their family, and give back to their community, but they’re also able to help reduce Veteran unemployment by growing their JDog Junk Removal and Hauling team.

In addition to offering East Texas residents and business owners exceptional junk removal services, Dennis and Katie help make the world a more eco-friendly place by recycling 60-80% of the items hauled away. This limits the impact on Texas landfills, so their kids can live in a more beautiful world by the time they take over the business.
