Theodore Proia has years of experience serving his country and community. As a USMC and Army Veteran, he served in the infantry with First Battalion Eighth Marines, The Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, and First Battalion Third Marines. After three deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan with the Marines, he joined the Maryland Army National Guard and served another three years in his local community with the 175th regiment.
Even as a civilian, Theodore continued to serve. He was a Canine Explosive Detection Officer working at the State Department, International Monetary Fund, and many other venues in the Washington D.C and Maryland area. Then he went back to Afghanistan for two more rotations to serve as a Canine Explosive Detection Handler contractor at The American Embassy.
In 2018, Theodore graduated from Colorado Technical University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice – Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Then in 2019, he graduated from Colorado Technical University with his Masters of Science in Criminal Justice – Homeland Security.
After all of this experience across the country and around the world, Theodore found his way back to Maryland for a new mission: franchise owner for JDog Junk Removal and Hauling Elkridge. He uses the same Military principles of Respect, Integrity, and Trust to offer the residents and businesses of Howard County exceptional, eco-friendly junk removal.
